The circuits of the IRONMAN World Championship Nice 2023

HOMBRE DE HIERRO has revealed the circuits for the IRONMAN World Championship of Nice to be held on September 10.
This event where only boys will participate, promises to be an exciting test and will feature the best triathletes in the specialty in the European cradle of long distance triathlon: Nice.

Swimming in the Bay of Angels
The 3,8 km (2,4 mile) swim segment will take place in the blue waters of Nice's Bay of Angels.
Triathletes will enter the water at Plage des Ponchettes, next to the Promenade des Anglais, and follow a rectangular double course perpendicular to the Promenade, with stunning views of the coastline and the Alpes-Maritimes in the background.
Cycling in the Maritime Alps
The 180,2 km cycling segment, thanks to its mountainous profile, will be one of the most spectacular and demanding of all the IRONMAN World Championships to date.
Departing from T1 on the Promenade des Anglais, triathletes will head straight out of the city and up the Nice hinterland through the pretty villages of the Parc Naturel des Préalpes d'Azur.
In total 2.400 meters of positive slope, with the Col de l'Ecre as the main mountainous difficulty.

The last segment will be a 42,2 km (26,2 mi) marathon that will stretch from one end of the Promenade des Anglais to the other.
This stage, with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop, promises to be a packed spectacle from start to finish.
