The Ibiza Sprint Triathlon is born
The island of Ibiza is preparing to host the first edition of the Ibiza Sprint Triathlon, an event that promises to be born to be a reference in the calendar short-distance sports car.
Organized by the Ibiza Half Triathlon Sports Association and with the support of the Consell d'Eivissa and the Ibiza City Council, the competition will be held on October 27.
El Ibiza Sprint Triathlon It will have its operational center in the Ses Figueretes area, where the transition area, the bib collection, the expo and other parallel activities will be located.
Circuits
The test will be held in sprint format, beginning with a 750-meter swim in the calm waters of Ses Figueretes Beach, with Las Ratas Island as a backdrop.
After completing the swim, triathletes will collect their Bike and they will travel a 5-kilometer urban circuit, which they will complete four times until completing a total of 20 kilometers.
Finally, the foot race will consist of two 2.5 kilometer laps on a completely flat circuit, culminating in the Paseo de Ses Figueretes.
Andoni Valencia, pioneer triathlete in Spain and responsible for the organization of the AD Ibiza Half Triathlon, commented: “These circuits offer a safe experience to participants, who will be able to feel the encouragement of family members, fans and the Ibizan public at all times.
