The Multisport World Cups are born for the 2020 season

The International Triathlon Federation (ITU) has opened the tender process for the World Cups Multisport 2020 for the season.

The idea is that they are Multisport events where they will lodge two tests of the following disciplines:  Long distance, Cross Triathlon, Duathlon Cross o Aquathlon.

After the success of the World Multisport Championship that had its third edition in Pontevedra, the ITU Multisport World Cups were created to give the opportunity for more host cities to join the ITU circuit and organize events such as Multisport Championships or Continental or World Triathlon events .

The World Cups of Multisport will be developed over 2 or 3 days, and will host trials for minors, age groups and elite.

Selected nominations will be announced during the ITU Executive Committee meeting at 27 in August of 2019.
