Nicola Spirig gets her fourth European Triathlon Champion title

Yesterday the test was disputed in the town of Kitzbühel where the favorite met the forecasts.

On a rainy and cold day the best European triathletes gathered to compete in this race consisting of 1,5 km of swimming by Lake Schwarzee, followed by 43,2 km of the cycling circuit to finish with 4 laps (10 km) of race to foot.

In the second round of swimming a group of 3 was formed in the lead that was not reached by the best until half of the cycling sector, where Nicola Spirig y Lisa Perterer they were in front of the persecuted group until reaching the head. The cycling sector was very hard due to rain and cold and there were several falls and dropouts.

Already in the race from the beginning the triathletes marked a very high rhythm where Spiring I was trying to break the group, this has been the first race of the season of the Olympic champion but it proved to be in very good shape since I mark a time of 00: 36: 19 in completing the 10 km, allowing it to arrive in first position with a time of 02: 10: 24 followed by the German Sophia Saller (2: 10: 40) and the Italian Annamaria Mazzeti (2: 10: 58) in third position.
