Gustav Iden's new Aero position for IRONMAN Kona
Gustav Iden, the Norwegian who won the World Championship HOMBRE DE HIERRO In Kona in 2022, he is determined to regain his place among the triathlon elite.
After a difficult couple of years, with the death of his mother and an Achilles tendon injury that forced him to retire in 2023, Iden He's back and seems more motivated than ever.
After taking his first win since 2022 at the Challenge Turku in July, and a second place behind his compatriot Kristian Blummenfelt at the Samarkand Challenge in September, Iden prepares for his greatest challenge: competing again in Kona.
Although the odds seem to be against that Iden repeat his victory from 2022, the Norwegian is leaving nothing to chance in his preparation. Iden has been working hard and implemented a New “Superman” time trial position which has generated great expectations among triathlon experts and fans.

Iden He clarified that the decision “was not just an Instagram stunt,” and that he has received messages from his competitors asking about his new approach.
Despite the discomfort of this new position, which could take its toll on him during the four-hour cycling stage, Iden He is confident in his ability to endure: “I use very little strength in my abdomen, back and shoulders. All I have to do is stay on the bike.”
