Published new regulation IRONMAN

IRONMAN has updated its regulation of competitions in order to standardize the long distance tests with the ITU

 

This regulation will be effective next March 1 in Europe, Africa and the American Continent.

This is a small summary of the modifications:

Cards

  • Yellow: Stop and Go
  • Blue: 5 penalty minutes
  • Red: Disqualification

Disqualification time

  • 1º Missing: 5 minutes
  • 2º Missing: 5 minutes
  • 3º Missing: Disqualification

Maximum use temperature of Neoprene

  • Professionals: 21,9º C
  • Age Groups: 24,5

Drafting area

  • For the age groups, 10 meters are set and they will have 20 seconds to overtake
  • Professionals: 12 meters apart, and will have to overtake in a maximum of 25 seconds

Head Guards:

  • Prohibited use of the helmet Mirror
  • Banned cameras or phones, except by express permission of IROMAN
