Ocean Lava Galicia seeks to consolidate this 2018

The test will be developed on Medium Ironman distance (1900 meters of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21,1 km of running on foot). The registration limit is set to 350.

After the success achieved his first edition, Ocean Lava Galicia will seek to consolidate in this 2018. On the same sites as in the edition of 2017, the 29 of April will be held the second edition

The test will have as its epicenter the villa of Cambados, where the exit, the transition and the goal of the same will be located. In it the swimming segment will be developed, in a single round.

The cycling sector will be developed as in the previous edition on the fast track. They will be 4 returns to a demanding cycling circuit of 18,5 kilometers. In spite of the altimetry, approximately 1.300 meters in the complete sector, the good asphalt and the amplitude of the track will allow to roll comfortably coupled in great part of the route. The emblematic Plaza de Fefiñáns, will not fail to witness the passage of triathletes in the cycling sector where the companions can encourage the participants.

The circuit of foot race has suffered slight modifications is the same as the 2017 a a single turn. You will leave the transition area and first you will make a section along the Cambados promenade, you will go through the transition area again and then head towards the Vilanova de Arousa council. In the middle of the sector, the runners will come across the A Illa de Arousa bridge, which is 2 kilometers long, which they will cross leaving the continental territory to set foot in A Illa de Arousa and return to Vilanova where a short section will be made before returning by the same route in reverse.

OCEAN LAVA, originating in Lanzarote, is one of the most prestigious long distance competitions in the world. Founded by Kenneth Gasque, race director of the Ironman Lanzarote and legend of the world of triathlon is a spectacular sporting event.
