Pablo Dapena with options in the Samorin LD World Cup
This weekend it takes place in Samorin (Slovakia) within the Multisport Championship, LD triathlon world championships, Aquabike and Aquatlon.
The tests that will be played in the same enclave that The Collins Cup will will be one of the hot spots this weekend.
In the LD World Championship, we will have the Spanish Pablo Dapena that arrives with options to revalidate the title after the bronze in the IRONMAN 70.3 world championship. In the last event he participated in, the Canadian Open, he finished in 16th position.
Dapena has already won this title in 2018 and he was second in 2019 in Pontevedra, so he will surely be fighting to get back to the top.
The test will be held on Sunday 21 August on a different format than usual, the 100km with 2.000 meters of swimming, 80 km of cycling and 18 of running, to align with The Collins cup.
In the test, the presence, in addition to Dapena, of Thomas Steger, Frederick Funk, Lukas Kocar o Milan Bros. among others.
In the female category we find triathletes like sarissa de vries, Marta Bernardi, Manon Genet, Lisa Norden o Lucy Charles who returns to compete after his injury.
