Paula Findlay wins Canadian Time Trial Championships and IRONMAN 70.3 Mont Tremblant this weekend

Paula Findlay has once again demonstrated its quality and great form by winning two high-level competitions in just 48 hours.

The Canadian triathlete won first the Canadian Time Trial Championship and then the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont Tremblant, establishing herself as one of the best middle-distance triathletes in the world.

The last friday, Paula Findlay He competed in the Canadian Time Trial Championships in the city of Beaumont, facing a 28 kilometer course, completing it in 39 minutes and 24 seconds and taking victory, for the third consecutive time.

But his weekend did not stop there, since just 48 hours after his victory in Beaumont, he appeared at the start of the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont Tremblant.

Under adverse weather conditions, the Canadian began the competition with a swimming segment shortened to just over 1.000 meters due to bad weather.

Findlay led from the beginning, and only the Australian Ellie Salthouse He managed to stay close in the first kilometers of the cycling segment. However, the Canadian soon picked up her pace and distanced herself alone.

The foot race was a mere formality for Paula Findlay, who crossed the finish line with a time of 4:01:00, almost four minutes ahead of his compatriot Tamara jewett (4: 04: 51).

Jewett had to do his best to secure the silver, beating Salthouse (4:04:58) by just seven seconds.

With this double victory, Findlay reaffirms his position as one of the main figures in world triathlon.
