Triathlon and heat will be the protagonists in Posadas

The temperatures, which will be around the 40 degrees, will be one of the main obstacles for the participants

Un medium distance triathlon it is always a considerable challenge for the participants. Just to mention the kilometers that the brave ones have to cross that today will take the exit in this Calima Challenge Posadas already causes dread: 1,9 swimming, 90 pedaling on the bike to finish running 21.

To add difficulty to this discipline, we have to mention that it will be celebrated in the warm province of Córdoba (the hottest in Spain) and in the month of August. With what it is estimated that, as the morning progresses, exceed the 40 degrees of temperature.

With the heat as the main handicap, today at the 8h00 will be the exit to this test that meets its second edition, and that this year will serve as Spain Championship of the specialty. In addition, for the first time, the Middle distance Paralympic Spain Championship, with the sights set on the Rio'16 Games, in which this discipline will be premiered.

The elite race will depart from the Breña reservoir, located in Almodóvar del Río (Córdoba), where the swim segment will be developed over 1,9 kilometers, to link with Posadas through a cycling circuit that will take two laps to complete 90 kilometers and finish with the 21 kilometers (half marathon) of the race on foot after four laps to a circuit of five kilometers after touring one previous in the transition area.
