Word Triathlon publishes the possible positive in EPO of the triathlete Igor Polyanskiy

In a statement in his web page, the International Triathlon Federation (World Triathlon) has announced that a sample collected from the triathlete Igor Polyanskiy has tested positive.

It was in an out-of-competition doping control in Vladivostok, Russia

This is the statement.

“World Triathlon reports that a sample collected from Igor Polyanskiy returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for recombinant erythropoietin (EPO) (S2. Peptide, Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances and Mimetics).

The sample was collected during an out-of-competition doping control on July 21, 2021 in Vladivostok, Russia. World Triathlon was informed of the case on August 5, 2021 by the WADA accredited laboratory.

The athlete has the right to request the analysis of the B sample and challenge the imposition of the provisional suspension before the Court of Arbitration for Sport - Anti-Doping Division (CAS ADD).

Since the case is ongoing, there will be no further comment during the ongoing process."
