El Spanish Middle Distance Duathlon Championship 2025 It will be held this coming Saturday, March 1st in Graus, bringing together almost 400 athletes.
The competition will feature races Elite, Spanish Paralympic Championship and a test of Age groups and Open. In addition, in the morning, the school event of the Aragon Triathlon Sports Games will be held.

Favorites
In the female category, Marina Muñoz (Deporama Triatlón Soriano), bronze in the 2024 Spanish Duathlon Championship, heads the starting lists.
With her, duathletes like Eider Bereziartua (Alusigma Dental Peñota), Tania Álvarez (Ecosport Alcobendas Triathlon) or Andrea Iglesias Carballido (Deportivo Delikia) promise an intense battle. There will also be Martha Bourbon (Stadium Casablanca Mapei), recent Spanish Winter Triathlon champion.
In the men's event, the Aragonese Fernando Zorrilla, current MD Duathlon 2024 champion, will wear number one.
Competing alongside him will be names such as Pello Osoro, Gonzalo Fuentes (Alusigma Dental Peñota) and Ricardo Márquez (Morvedre Triathlon), among others. Also notable is the British James Teagle (Peñota Dental Alusigma), which is coming with a desire to cause trouble.
Courses
The start, finish and transition points will be located at the Graus football field, while the foot races will take place in the town centre.
The cycling segment, 60 kilometres in four laps, will take place next to the Joaquín Costa reservoir, offering a unique setting for participants.
The two foot races cover a total of 18 kilometres, divided into two 9-kilometre sections (three laps each). Graus, at the confluence of the Ésera and Isábena rivers, combines cultural heritage and a highly attractive natural environment.
Schedules and broadcast
The category Male Elite will leave at 14:00 p.m., followed two minutes later by the Elite Women and at 14:03 p.m., the athletes of the Spanish Paralympic Championship.
The Age Groups and Open will begin at 14:05 p.m., and will close with the awards ceremony at 18:30 p.m.
The delivery of numbers will be done at the Office FETRI from the Graus football pitch on Friday 28 February (17:00 pm – 20:00 pm) and on the Saturday of the competition itself (10:00 am – 12:00 pm). All the action can be followed on TeleSport y RTVE Play, who will offer the live broadcast.
Remembering the 2024 champions
In the 2024 edition held in Híjar, Laura Gomez y Fernando Zorrilla They managed to revalidate their national Middle Distance Duathlon titles.
Both of them put in a very solid performance and, of course, Zorrilla will be looking to repeat the feat this year in Graus.
