3.400 triathletes in the 30ª edition of the Challenge Roth, with Daniela Ryf looking for the world record

Close to 3.400 athletes and 650 relay teams from over 70 countries, they will participate in one of the most important events in the world of Triathlon, Challenge Roth in Germany, the next 9 in July, where their thirtieth anniversary is celebrated.

The competition starts with a swimming section of 3,8 kilometers on the Main-Donau channel, followed by a cycling sector of 180 kilometers and a marathon of 42 kilometers.

For the first time in the history of Chlallenge Roth, the route has been changed. He new circuit It will be two rounds, linking the cities of Roth and Büchenbach. The winner of the DATEV Challenge Roth will likely be back across the finish line in less than eight hours this year. The best time has it Jan Frodeno at Roth in 2016 with 7:35:39 hours, becoming the fastest man to complete a Long Distance Triathlon.

Regarding the participants, all eyes are on Daniela Ryf, current Ironman World Champion, as she is looking to achieve the world record in distance, which is currently held by Chrissie Wellington with a time of 8:18:13. But it will not be easy since the three times winner of the test will be on the starting line Yvonne Van Vlerken (2008, 2008,2015),  Heather Wurtele 3 times Ironman 70.3 World Champion Laura Siddall winner of Ironman Australia and second this season at Ironman New Zeland and Challenge Wanaka.
