La Santa Club Preview IRONMAN Lanzarote 2024

Next Saturday, May 18, the 32nd edition of the Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote, one of the toughest and most prestigious competitions on the international triathlon calendar.

With more than three decades of history, this event has established itself as a unique challenge, not only within the IRONMAN franchise, but also in the world of long-distance triathlon.

Since its first edition, the IRONMAN Lanzarote has attracted elite triathletes and amateurs from all over the world, offering a stage where the endurance and determination of each triathlete are tested to the maximum.

This race is famous for its toughness, with more than 2.500 meters of elevation gain in the cycling segment and more than 220 meters in the marathon, all this combined with the island's demanding weather conditions, which include heat, humidity and relentless gusts. of wind.

Mikel Ugarte will debut in this edition of IRONMAN Lanzarote. The Spanish Long Distance Runner-up in 2022 arrives with great motivation after achieving third place in the Mogán-Gran Canaria Challenge.

Víctor Arroyo You already know what it's like to win in Lanzarote, having won the event as an age group in 2016.

Jordi Montraveta will compete for the third consecutive time in Lanzarote. After an eighth place in 2022 and a fourth place in 2023, Montraveta is ready to improve his performance even further.
