Next Saturday, May 15, from 13:30 p.m., the 2021 edition of the Half Triathlon Pamplona Iruña after a stoppage forced by the pandemic in 2020.

The return of this iconic triathlon to the national calendar has been possible thanks to the collaboration and effort of the organization, institutions, sponsors and the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

It will be the first stop of the Spanish Cup for Medium and Long Distance.

With demanding sanitary measures and a COVID-19 protocol, triathletes will be able to enjoy this event which, in addition, is the first stop of the Spanish Cup of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon.

The event did not want to miss regular elite triathletes of the competition such as the current winner and institution of the international triathlon Eneko Llanos, Gustavo Rodríguez who holds the record for "txapelas" in Iruña in addition to the Galician champion Aida Valiño .

They will also be Cesc Godoy  the current champion of Spain of Medium Distance, Laura Gomez, and another of the winners in Pamplona as it is Sara Loehr, who will make a stop in his preparation for the Tokyo Paralympic Games, which he will attend as a guide by Susana Rodríguez.

Half an hour later, at 13:30 p.m., the triathletes will start at the Alloz reservoir, at the foot of Camping Aritzaleku, who will swim 1900 meters before pedaling for 75 kilometers to the Navarrese capital.

Once there, they will carry out a foot race through the historic streets of the city to cross the finish line under the heat of the Navarrese people and cross the finish line that will accredit them as finishers of the Half Triathon Pamplona Iruña 2021.
