The previous The Championship 2024
The countdown has begun. Šamorín, in Slovakia, is preparing to host the largest edition of The Championship, the summit event of ChallengeFamily.

A luxury poster in the men's category
The men's competition promises to be very exciting. Peter Heemeryck (BEL) and Frederic Funk (GER), both with a second place in previous editions, arrive at the test wanting to achieve victory, but it will not be easy for them as they will have a large number of rivals to beat.
The current 70.3 world champion, Rich Bogen (GER), makes his debut in Šamorín alongside his compatriot Jan Stratman.
The list of candidates for the podium is completed with names such as Kacper Stepniak (POL), Kyle Smith (NZL), Antonio Benito (ESP), James teagle (GBR), Mark Dubrick (USA), Tom Bishop (GBR), Joe Skipper (GBR) and Bart Aernouts (NICE).
The champion defends her crown in the women's category
In the women's category, the British India Lee will defend the title won last year. However, triathletes such as Els Visser, undefeated in 2024 with three consecutive victories, will seek its fourth victory of the season.
They will also be Fenella Langridge (GBR), Caroline Pohle (GER) and Marta Sanchez (ESP) who are also emerging as serious candidates for the title.
Šamorín, a dream setting for triathlon
The x-bionic® sphere, a world-class sports complex on the outskirts of Bratislava, will be the setting for this exciting competition.
This Olympic training center offers unbeatable conditions for practicing triathlon, with swimming, cycling and running circuits perfectly integrated in a privileged natural environment.
Beyond the elite: a weekend for all triathletes
The Championship is not just a competition for professionals. Throughout the weekend, Šamorín will have various events for all ages and levels, such as the Special Olympics, sprint and standard events, and a triathlon for beginners.
