Luxury poster at the 31st edition of the Zarauzko Triatloia

As usual, the start list in the men's and women's category will be a real luxury with many and many of the best mid- and long-distance triathletes in Spain.

Next Saturday 10 of June celebrates the XXXI edition of the mythical Zarauzko Triatloia - Triathlon of Zarautz one of the oldest triathlons in Spain. As a curious fact to comment that the inscriptions for this edition were sold out in only 1 minute.

The competition is carried out under the classic Olympic double distance (2,9km-81km-20km). The swimming consists of 2,9km in a crossing from the Malkorbe beach in Getaria to the Zaragoza beach. Subsequently, the triathletes will face a tough 81km of cycling, which consists of 2 laps of 28km with the climb to the Maegas port and a last lap of 25 with the Aia Wall with ramps of almost 20%. Subsequently, the race on foot is 20km divided into three laps that run through the urban area of ​​Zarautz crossing the biotope and where as always the whole circuit will be packed with people cheering non-stop. As in previous years, the goal will be located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The last year the victory was for Eneko Llanos followed by Fernando Alarza that debuted in the distance and Ainhoa ​​Murua.

As we have previously mentioned in both categories, the level of the triathletes is tremendous, so it is difficult to choose a single favorite and favorite. In the male category Gustavo Rodríguez he is the main favorite to repeat the victory of two seasons ago. In addition to the Galician also aspire to fight for the podium Cesc Godoy, third last year, Peru Alfaro, fourth in the Ironman of Lanzarote,  Carlos López, Alejandro Santamaría and Miguel Ángel Fidalgo.

In female competition three triathletes are the candidates for victory: Judith, Sara Loehr recent winner of the Challenge Salou y Saleta Castro that comes from doing a fifth place in the Ironman of Lanzarote. In addition you also have to take into account Dolça Ollé, Helene Alberdi, Joselyn Brea and Victoria Juanicotena.

The competition will start the 14: 00h in the female category and the 14: 15h in the male category.
