First PRO confirmed at XXV Club la Santa IM Lanzarote

This year marks the XXV edition of the oldest Ironman in Spain

 

10 are still missing more weeks so that next Saturday 21 May will be celebrated the XXV edition of the oldest Ironman in Spain and Europe (within the Wanda-Ironman franchise) Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote where some professionals have already confirmed their participation.

Male Category

Timo Bracht (Winner in Lanzarote in 2011, 3 times sub 8hs in IM and several times top10 in Kona), Romain Guillaume (Winner in Lanzarote 2014, IM Mont Tremblant 2012 and podium in different Ironmans like Nice or Malaysia), Stephen Bayliss (Winner in the IM of South Africa and the United Kingdom in 2008), Esben Hovgaard (Danish national champion) and Kim Thijs (Winner of the IM Lanzarote 2005 in GGEE 18-24 and specialist in X-Terra)

As regards the Spanish participation, they are confirmed Miquel Blanchart (2 times 2º in Lanzarote) who confirmed to Triathlon News a few weeks ago that "I have a pending appointment in Lanzarote" and will also be from the game the LD Spain champion Carlos López.

Women Category

Jeanne Collonge (Double winner of Embrunman with record of the test in 2013 -10h65min43s-),Caroline Livesey (3ª in IM Lanzarote 2015), Tina Holst (2ª in IM Vichy, 4ª IM Gales and 9ª IM Frankfurt in 2015, to others of 6ª in Lanzarote 2006), Alexandra Tondeur (3ª IM- Mallorca 2015) and Lucy Charles(IM world champion in Kona and 70.3 in Austria in 2015 in GGEE).

 As for the national participation, as always, in the last 5 years will be the ambassador of the Club Santa Saleta Castro, who in the 4 times that has run in Lanzarote has been top7 in all of them, highlighting the 3ª plaza of 2013.
