Official Tours of the Guadiana Triathlon, the triathlon that unites Spain and Portugal

The test will take place on October 20 in the town of Ayamonte, in Huelva, next to the mouth of the Guadiana river

Guadiana Triathlon, the only national test that unites the countries of Spain and Portugal, has presented the official circuits for its Media and Long Distance tests.

A route with departure point in Ayamonte that will travel through the Natural Park of the Guadiana Valley uniting in its cycling segment Spain and Portugal crossing the iconic International Bridge of Guadiana.

The Half Distance Distance Tests

Swimming

El Triathlon Guadiana Media Distancia will start with the  1.900 meters of swimmingIn a single round with a perfectly signalized circuit with buoys that will be located between the beach of Isla Canela and the tongue of sand of Isla Canela, that is to say in a place of calm waters so that the athletes can make a comfortable swimming.

Cycling

The cycling sector of the Guadiana Media Distancia circuit is 90 round trip kms through the towns and Ayamonte, Villablanca, San Silvestre de Guzman to Villanueva de los Castillejos where will be half turn to return to Isla Canela

Race on foot

The test will finish a half marathon with 2 laps of 10,5 km. that run through the Isla Canela boardwalk and its continuation along Pelicano street in a stretch next to the sea, then at the point of return take the street Cisnes and the road next to the canyon Pozo, a quiet place in the middle to return back to the avenue of the beach the goal area next to Hotel Barceló Isla Canela

The Long Distance Test courses

Swimming

El Triathlon Guadiana Long Distance will start with the  3.800 meters of swimmingn, divided into two laps of 1.900 to a perfectly signalized circuit with buoys that will be located between the beach of Isla Canela and the tongue of sand of Isla Canela, that is to say in a place of calm waters so that the athletes can make a comfortable swimming.

Cycling

The cycling sector will travel a 180 km circuit passing through the towns of Ayamonte, Villablanca, San Silvestre de Guzman, Villanueva de los Castillejos up to Mertola, to return to Isla Canela through Alcoutim, Castro Marin and Ayamonte to end the segment at T2 located in Isla Canela

Race on foot

The test will end with the classic marathon. The segment consists of 42 km, divided into four laps of 10,5 km, which run through the Isla Canela boardwalk and its continuation along Pelicano street in a stretch next to the sea, then at the point of return take the street Cisnes and the road next to the canyon Pozo, a quiet place in the middle to return back to the avenue of the beach the goal area next to Hotel Barceló Isla Canela

More than 10.000 € in prizes

A test that ranks among the tests with the highest financial outlay in prizes exceeding the 10.000 € and economically rewarding the top five of the overall male and female category of its two distances.

It will also have the technical assistance of Cabello Cycles who will ensure that those feared external and non-controllable as any mechanical breakdown is not a problem to raise the average finisher, will have animation service for companions, playroom, jersey finisher ... much more than a triathlon.
