FETRI MD and LD 2025 Ranking: several events without bibs

The Middle and Long Distance Triathlon Ranking of the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) is back with a vengeance in 2025.

Four competitions have posted the “no places” sign: HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Valencia, IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca, TriXilxes #sindrafting by TriLavall y I saw half of Gasteiz.

 The rest of calendar remains open, although with limited spaces in many cases.

Calendar with tests without places

• IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia (April 27)
  One of the star events of the circuit has been without race numbers available for weeks. Those who want to compete will have to wait on the waiting list.
• IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca (May 10)
  With the edition just around the corner, it is no longer accepting entries. It is one of the most iconic races of the IRONMAN franchise in Europe.
• TriXilxes #sindrafting (May 11)
  So popular that it currently only has a waiting list. Ideal for those looking to add medium distance points to the FETRIMDyLD 2025 Ranking.
• I saw half of Gasteiz (June 7)
  Another event that has completed its quota. The atmosphere in Vitoria-Gasteiz is usually one of the liveliest on the national scene.

The first date in Peñíscola

The season starts April 6, in the Infinitri 113 in Peñíscola, proof that it is now in its third stage of registration.

If it is not filled before then, it will close permanently on March 14. This is the first opportunity to earn points in this FETRIMDyLD 2025 Ranking.

May: double chance in medium and long

• Challenge Salou (May 11): There are still places available. Its bike circuit usually receives very good reviews.
• Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote (May 17): Registration is open for those who wish to take on one of the most demanding IRONMANs.
• Mediterranean Epic Triathlon (May 24 and 25): It will host the 2025 Spanish Long Distance Championships, as well as offering Middle Distance events. Registration is open until May 14.
• KOS Xtreme Triathlon La Palma (May 31): With the possibility of signing up until May 20 and a price change on March 30.

June, the key month to fight

• TradeINN Zarauzko Triatloia (June 14): More than 700 registered and deadline until May 24.
• Bilbao Triathlon (June 28): The price range will change on May 21. Keep an eye on the dates if you are looking for savings on registration.

July

Meanwhile IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz (July 13) maintains dorsals, as well as Castilla y León Challenge (August 10), which will increase its price on April 1.

September and October: the final stretch

• Half Triathlon Madrid (September 14) y Santander City Triathlon (September 21): Both with active registrations and with price changes scheduled for May.
• IRONMAN Calella-Barcelona (October 5) y Challenge Peguera Mallorca (18 of October): They continue with squares, the last one being highly valued for its festive atmosphere and its acclaimed finish line.
• IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella (date pending): Assigned to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. Places are awarded by qualification.
• The venue for the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship, which will also award the highest score in the FETRIMDyLD 2025 Ranking, has yet to be designated.

With race numbers sold out at key events, the 2025 season of the FETRIMDyLD Ranking It is very competitive.

Still, there are plenty of opportunities for triathletes of all levels to score points on the circuit.
