The triathlon is to announce a new TRITON WORLD SERIES 2025 Ranking, a new system that comes to unify all the careers of TRITON 1 y TRITON 3 under the same global classification.
From the moment it is published, each event you participate in will count towards moving up positions and qualifying for the final Championship.
Scores are accumulated race by race, not forgetting that the Championship events award 2,5 times more points than the rest.
If you plan to compete several times, this is your chance to score the most points, since “the more races, the more points.”
The Global Scoring System
In 2025, a single classification will be implemented that brings together both triathletes from TRITON 1 and TRITON 3.
The aim of this initiative is to unify and give a broader focus to the competition.
This means that, regardless of the distance you choose, you will enter a unified ranking that will reward consistency and participation.
The key difference lies in the points bonus. On the one hand, regular races contribute a standard amount to the ranking; on the other, Championship events award 2,5 times more points.
Classification by Distance, Gender and Age Group
Although there is a single global list, the system also includes several filters to ensure that equity and competitiveness are maintained.
Participants will be able to see their position not only in the global ranking, but also in tables separated by their category, either by distance, gender o age group.
Road to the 2025 Championship
El TRITON 2025 Championship take place in Portimão, Algarve – Portugal, the days 24, 25 and 26 October.
It will be played in format TRITON 3, with a whole day dedicated to each segment: swimming, cycling and running, adding up to three days of adrenaline and celebration.
The categories will be at stake SPRINT, MIDDLE y LONG, along with a Corporate World Cup and a race for children and parents.
For many triathletes, achieving a slot to participate in these finals will be one of the biggest goals of the season.
How to Get Your Slot
All events held in 2023 and 2024 will also serve as qualifiers, giving you the opportunity to score points for this first big finish in Portimão.
Places are awarded according to the well-known D'Hondt method, seeking balance and fairness in the representation of each age group.
Didn't you get the direct position? Don't worry. The system is adjusted based on the overall results, so there may always be relocations. However, the total capacity of the final will be limited to ensure the safety and quality of the event.
