Close to 250 triathletes have already registered for the first edition of the event where the next August 27 will be closed

The next September 10 will be held in Cambados, the first edition of the  Ocean Lava Galicia where the participants will be able to compete in two different distances Distance 113 (1,9-90-21) and the 60.0 (1,9-47,4-10,7).

The test will start at 8: 30 in the morning at the Pontevedra village of Cambados, with a swim in line between the ports of San Tomé and Tragove. The swimming will be the same for the two distances. Subsequently the bicycle sector will be developed with a link section, on a demanding circuit, which will be 4 turns for the distance half (90 km) and 2 turns (47,4 km) for the distance 60.0 both circuits without drafting.

Finally, the race on foot will be a single round for the two distances, it is the section where part of the Padre Sarmiento Route will be covered, with the peculiarity that continental territory will be abandoned in the distance half, to enter A Illa de Arousa and return again to Cambados.

Kenneth Gasque, director of Ocean Lava and organizer during the 26 editions of the Ironman of Lanzarote, will be soon in Galicia to present the test and coordinate with the organization of the event all the devices so that the premiere in the peninsular northwest of the franchise is a success.

As a novelty the nutrition brand Nutrisport will be in charge of the refreshments during the test.
