The renewed circuit 100X100 HALF lands on the Costa Brava

Empuriabrava arrives at a test circuit completely renovated in one of the reference destinations of tourism and sport of the Costa Brava

 

 

Under the technical direction of Diversport, a local company and organizer of sports events based in Figueras and with more than 100 events behind them as well as extensive experience in sports management, a completely renovated test circuit in one of the reference destinations of tourism and sport of the Costa Brava

 

The birth of 100x100Half It has not been the result of chance. Thanks to the great involvement of the Town Council of Castelló d'Empúries it has been possible that this project has become a reality. A project that has involved different areas such as: sports, tourism, promotion, public safety and the rest of the consistory.

 

Within the circuit there are consolidated tests such as the 16ª edition of the TRIATLON DE EMPURIABRAVA, in Cros. This test, and thanks to the support of the sports area of ​​the City Council, was rescued in the same modality cross 2 years ago. On this occasion, the swimming segment takes place in open waters, in front of the beach of Empuriabrava, which gives greater visibility for the public, the MTB segment along the recovered Camino Natural de la Muga and the walking race through the promenade maritime. In short, an attractive test for both the participant, who can discover the charms of the area as well as for the accompanying public.

 

Another endorsement for this circuit is the 6ª edition of Trail Triathlon MEDES-MONTGRI that, although it has no direct impact on the municipality, the potential of this test means that the tourist complex has an added value for the participant.

 

 

In this way, the tests that make up the circuit in the 2014 will be:

 

• TRAIL MEDES triathlon - MONTGRI (June 8)
• PORTBOU Triathlon (15 of August)
• Cros Triathlon EMPURIA BRAVA (September 20)
• EMPURIA BRAVA Triathlon (September 21) Sprint and Olympic distances, being a test this year that is within the Calendar of the Catalan Triathlon Federation.

 

To finish the circuit the next October 12 has included a new test that will be the Half Distance Triathlon - HALF EMPURIABRAVA, which will have distances 1,9 km Swimming -90km cycling -21 km of running on foot.

 

El 100 × 100 HALF circuit 2014 participates in the 1.500 of triathletes coming from different points of the national and even international territory that will suppose an economic impact in the greater area to 300.000 € that will dynamize in this way the tourist, sport and economic sectors of the Costa Brava
