Do Madrid's new restrictions affect sport?

The Government of the Region of Madrid announced this past Friday some restrictive measures in 37 sanitary areas of 8 municipalities in the community that affect mobility and capacity within those areas.

Regarding sports practice, nothing has been specified, although if they have commented that the citizens of those areas will have to guide by community restrictions.

As for sports practice

• You can continue doing sports
• You will not be able to leave your health area
• If you do sport in a group, it will be a maximum of 6 people

The Spanish Society of Sports Medicine recommends using a mask

Yesterday, the Spanish Society of Sports Medicine in a statement recommended using the mask in sports practice, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

In this article, we explain the different measures that they propose and also urge that if they cannot be met, do not practice group sports.

When do the measures come into effect?

The proposed measures will go into effect tomorrow, Monday, September 21, and will be reviewed two weeks later.

The fines for breaking the rules range between 600 and 600.000 euros.
