Ricardo Marin honored at the Triathlon Gala of the Region of Murcia 2011

Marin has achieved in this 2011 season two World titles (Paratriathlon-Cros and Paraduatlon), a third place in the European Paratriathlon and two national titles (Paratriathlon and Paraduatlon).

The Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia has celebrated its annual gala this past Saturday, November 26, in which it has recognized and awarded the numerous athletes and clubs that have distinguished themselves in the different categories and modalities throughout this year 2011.

A dozen clubs in the Region and more than a hundred triathletes were awarded during the course of the evening, among them Ricardo Marin Arcis, who received his award to a strong and emotional ovation from all those present. Marin has had a dream 2011 season, with two World titles (Paratriathlon-Cross and Paraduatlon) a third place in the European Paratriathlon, two national titles (Paratriathlon and Paraduatlon).

The act that was held in the Salones Pío XII of Santa Ana del Monte, in Jumilla, has counted among other authorities with the presence of Enrique Jiménez Sánchez, mayor of the town of Jumilla, Juan Manuel Abellán Gómez, councilor for sports of Jumilla, Diego Calvo Valera, president of the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia.

At the end of the gala Ricardo Marin was very happy and satisfied with the recognition and affection received, thanking everyone, as well as involving all those who have collaborated with him this season, Pepe Carrillo (El Nieto del Lobo) Diego Javier, José Marín, Nono, Pascual, Yolanda, José, Pedro Izquierdo and their entire family, Mª Rosa, his wife and Richy and Antonio José, their children.

Next season he will fight with all his might to revalidate the successes achieved and give prestige in this sport to the Region of Murcia and Spain.
