Roberto Sánchez Mantecón faces a bus in preparation for the València 2021 European Triathlon Championship

The international triathlete Roberto Sánchez Mantecón faces a city bus in a particular man versus machine challenge on the European circuit.

The recent winner of the Davos Challenge, in Switzerland, and a hybrid vehicle from EMT València, measure their speed in the idyllic surroundings of the Marina of Valencia.

The preparations for the València 2021 European Triathlon Championship they accelerate as the competition approaches, which will take place on September 25 and 26, and the capital of Turia is experiencing more and more intensity in the run-up to the event.

The Valencia EMT buses have been the protagonists of a particular activity, a challenge in which the Valencian international triathlete Roberto Sánchez Mantecón has also participated, facing one of the Valencian municipal transport company vehicles in two of the triathlon tests.

The setting chosen for the singular challenge has been a section of the circuit of the València 2021 European Triathlon Championship itself, in the surroundings of the Marina de Valencia. Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, recent winner of his first Medium Distance triathlon in the Davos Challenge (Switzerland), had to cover the same distance as one of the new generation hybrid buses that run through the city, combining cycling and running with a transition through the middle.
