Roberto Sánchez achieves his best result in the World Series

Montreal hosted this weekend a new day of the Triathlon World Series, in addition to the Junior World and Mixed Relay Championships in both the Elite and Junior categories, and with the presence of athletes from the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

The best of the #Triarmada was the Valencian Roberto Sánchez Mantecón who was at the gates of entering the last race finishing in 14th place, the best achieved so far in the highest international events.

Previously, Genis Grau finished in 22nd place, eliminated one heat earlier, and Antonio Serrat he went to the ground in the cycling segment of the first series of the finals leaving him out of action. Although without injuries or serious injuries, which allowed him to compete in the Mixed Relay World Championship today.

In the women's event, none of ours qualified for the finals, being the best of the two Sara Pérez Sala, in 36th place, while Anna Godoy finished as 44th classified.

The two were affected by the decision to cancel the swimming segment during the previous qualifiers, so they were played in a duathlon format.

Both triathletes formed the team of mixed Relay, together with Antonio Serrat and Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, finishing in 11th position in the World Championship.
