ROUVY becomes official sponsor of IRONMAN

The virtual cycling platform ROUVY has signed a multi-year agreement with HOMBRE DE HIERRO, offering triathletes from all over the world the opportunity to cycle on official routes without leaving home.

In addition, the announcement includes the purchase of FulGaz, the platform that has been offering IRONMAN routes digitally until now.

This integration provides more training possibilities and promises to improve the preparation of thousands of athletes for their next challenges.

New cross-platform partnership

The agreement makes ROUVY on the “Official Digital Sports Platform” of IRONMAN and the IRONMAN 70.3 series.

According to release Spread by both parties, the initiative seeks to give new tools to those who wish to train on the most renowned circuits on the planet without having to travel.

Thus, each person who registers for an IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 race will have a 30-day trial period at ROUVY to familiarize themselves with the courses and work on their weak points before the big event.

A number of iconic routes are already available, including IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant, IRONMAN 70.3 Zell Am See-Kaprun, IRONMAN 70.3 Oregon and the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship in Jönköping.

More options are expected to emerge as the months go by, which will allow Spanish and international triathletes to plan their season with a much clearer vision of what they will find on competition day.

Training on real routes

The peculiarity of ROUVY lies in the way it recreates each circuit through videos recorded on location, combined with a layer of augmented reality that brings climbs, descents and turns to life.

This way, those training at home can feel closer to the day of the race. Features include marked refreshment stations along the course and detailed metrics for power, cadence and heart rate.

Scott DeRue, CEO of IRONMAN, stressed that his organization's mission is to improve the experience of athletes not only on race day, but also in the months of preparation: “With ROUVY technology, we will take a qualitative leap so that athletes, both novice and expert, can develop their best version.”
