Rubén Ruzafa fourth in the Xterra World Championship

The winner was the Costa Rican Rom Akerson who has given the surprise in the test 

In the test we counted on the presence of Rubén Ruzafa that aspired to the fourth world title and Roger Serrano, with a brilliant season on the European circuit.

The test began at 21: 00 Spanish time with the 1.500 meters of swimming where Sam Osborne was the first to leave together with

Rubén Ruzafa crossed the finish line in fourth position Mauricio Méndez and Roger Serrano who left a few seconds later. Ruben Ruzafa and Akerson left almost a minute from New Zealand

Once upon a time bike , Rubén Ruzafa was moving up the ranks to take the lead after 5km of the race, something he has done in the last few editions he has participated in. The Malaga native gradually increased his lead to reach T2 with nearly 1 minute over Rom Akerson, 2:30 over Sam Osborne and 3:20 over last year's winner Bradley Weiss. Roger Serrano finished the segment in tenth place, 12 minutes behind Ruzafa.

In the 10 kilometers of Trail Running, Ruzafa was losing time with respect to his persecutors so that he surpassed the 3 kilometer of the segment Rom Akerson will reach the leadership to not leave until the end giving the surprise and getting the world title with a time of 2: 52: 42. The second classified has been Bradley Weiss (2: 53: 17) with the best partial run on foot followed by Sam Osborne (2: 54: 38) occupying the third final position. Rubén Ruzafa he entered the finish line in fourth place with a time of 2: 55: 35. Roger Serrano was tenth

As soon as the women's test the victory was for Lesley Paterson with a time of 3: 29: 08, getting his third world title followed by  Michele Flipo (3: 39: 56) in second position and by Lizzie Orchard (3: 40: 54) occupying the third final position
