Rubén Ruzafa favorite for XTERRA Pirineu

XTERRA Pirineu 2024: The first edition of this outstanding off-road triathlon event is ready to debut on June 1 in the majestic natural environment of the Pyrenees.
The Guingueta d'Àneu has been meticulously prepared to receive more than 150 athletes of more than 15 nationalities.
The three-time world champion of the XTERRA off-road triathlon circuit, Rubén Ruzafa, will be at the starting line of the XTERRA Pirineu.
Its presence not only raises the competitive level of the event, but also ensures a high-quality sporting spectacle.
Event Details
XTERRA Pirineu 2024 will take place on June 1, with The Guingueta d'Àneu as main headquarters.
This small but picturesque town is nestled in the Pyrenees, providing a spectacular backdrop for this race.

Circuits
Swimming
Participants will begin with a 1500 meter swim in the Torrassa Reservoir, a body of water known for its tranquility, ideal for water activities such as canoeing and kayaking.
The swim will take place in two laps of 750 meters each, starting next to the Poldo Bridge.
Cycling
The 31-kilometer route includes a cumulative elevation gain of more than 600 meters, distributed in two loops.
The 22-kilometer first loop takes riders to an altitude of 1.400 meters, while the 9-kilometer second loop offers faster, more accessible terrain.
Participants will pass through emblematic places such as the Church of Sant Vicenç and the Castell de València d'Àneu.
Trail Running
The foot race will cover 11 kilometers, reaching a maximum altitude of 1.522 meters and accumulating an elevation gain of 650 meters.
The first kilometers will be the most demanding, but the panoramic views of the valley will offer an incomparable visual reward.
Organization and Logistics
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the delivery of numbers. Access to the transition area will be available from 12:30 p.m., and the test will begin at 14:00 p.m.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for 20:00 p.m., culminating a day full of activity and excitement.
