Next, the media has been given a chance to ask their questions.
Helena Herrero wanted to highlight the profile of the fairly flat circuit, which she considers appropriate to its physical characteristics, as strength will be more decisive than technique.
Contad Stoltz, winner of several editions of the Xterra world championship, commented that the circuit is really attractive for the competition, since having to do more than one lap, this fosters competitiveness and generates great expectation.
Zuriñe, manifested himself focused on maintaining the square for the Olympic Games, although he assured that this test is a part of the physical preparation to achieve his objectives.
Eneko LLanos, who is currently preparing for the next Ironman, which will be in 3 weeks, told us that his physical preparation has not been specific for this test. However, he showed us his mountaineering side, and despite regularly competing over longer distances, this type of cros triathlons attract him especially because of his love of the mountains.
Víctor del Corral, who in 2010 was proclaimed runner-up in Europe in the Cros Triathlon, starts as a favorite but according to his words, after suffering in the water, he will have to give everything on the bike to get back up and be in the first places.
The press conference ended with a thank you to all attendees and wishing good luck to all the athletes who will enjoy this First Cros Triathlon World Championship tomorrow, Saturday.
