Sam Laidlow wins the London T100

Today, July 28, 2024, the London T100, a highly competitive triathlon that brought together some of the best triathletes in the world.

The race, marked by a high level of demand and stellar participation, featured the Frenchman Sam Laidlow, who took the victory after an impressive performance in all three segments.

The French triathlete Sam Laidlow has achieved a resounding victory in the T100 London, demonstrating a great recovery after his disappointing performance in the Ironman Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The first to get out of the water was Alistair Brownlee with a time of 23:00, closely followed by Rich Bogen just three seconds away (23:03) and by Kyle Smith five seconds away (23:05).

In the 90 kilometer cycling segment, Frederic Funk took the lead arriving first at T2 with a time of 1:48:42, followed by Magnus ditlev at 24 seconds (1:49:06) and Youri Keulen at 22 seconds (1:49:04).

Sam Laidlow He made a spectacular comeback, completing this stage in 1:46:42, marking a notable recovery and strategically positioning himself for the final segment.

In the 21 kilometer foot race, Sam Laidlow demonstrated its quality. He maintained a solid and steady pace, resisting the attacks of Kyle Smith.

Going into the final lap, both Laidlow and Smith were showing signs of exhaustion and a +0:22 lead over the New Zealander.

In a thrilling finish, Laidlow managed to maintain his lead and take the win with a total time of 3:13:38. followed by Kyle Smith (3: 14: 03) and for Daniel Baekkegard (3: 16: 41).

Magnus ditlev finished fourth with a time of 3:17:41, while Frederic Funk He took fifth position with 3:17:53.
