Sam Laidlow loses all his sports equipment in a fire
Sam Laidlow, the reigning IRONMAN world champion, has suffered a setback in his preparation for the IRONMAN World Championship Kona, which will be held on October 26.
The fire started in the early hours of September 1-2 where Fire destroyed the Laidlow family garage, which functioned as a gym and sports equipment warehouse.
The fire devastated Bikes, rollers and other training equipment, leaving Laidlow without his “cave of pain,” as he calls it.

Although Laidlow will be able to continue training, the loss of his training equipment represents a significant setback in his preparation for Kona, especially for indoor training and post-training recovery.
The French triathlete, who is currently recovering from his victory in thel T100 Triathlon World Tour of London, will have to look for new training options and possible replacements for its lost teams.
Laidlow still has the challenge ahead of him T100 from Ibiza on September 28, an event that will serve as a test on the road to Kona.
