Sam Long leads a luxury line-up at T100 San Francisco

El San Francisco T100 at PTO will bring together the world's long-distance triathlon elite in a star-studded race

Yesterday we already published the lfemale exit list and now the male triathletes who will compete in the event have been known,

Among them is the new number 1 of the PTO, the American Sam long, who arrives at the event in spectacular form with two victories in Ironman 70.3 (Pucon and St. George) and three second places (Miami T100, Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and Singapore T100).

Long will face a total of 16 contracted athletes at the start line. Among them stand out the Danish Magnus ditlev, Jason West, Rudy von berg and four-time Escape From Alcatraz winner, Ben Kanute.

The double British Olympic champion will also compete Alistair Brownlee y Javier Gómez Noya.

The race will also mark the debut of the Belgian Marten Van Riel in his first T100 race, before his Olympic appointment in Paris this summer.

Distances

The 100km race in San Francisco (2km swim, 80km run) bike and 18 km of racing) will begin with a jump into the cold waters next to Alcatraz Island.

Since the first race in 1981, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon has attracted thousands of professional and amateur triathletes to attempt the impossible: escape from Alcatraz Island.

Alcatraz Island is part of the attraction of this triathlon that attracts more than 2.000 triathletes to San Francisco year after year.

The mystique of the island and the difficult course, especially the open water swim in San Francisco Bay, continue to attract competitors for the opportunity to achieve their Escape.
