Sara Pérez defends her title at The Championship this weekend

The Spanish triathlete seeks to revalidate her crown in Slovakia

Sarah Perez Hall, the current champion of The Championship, is ready to defend her title this weekend.

The world triathlon elite will meet at the Olympic training venue x bionic sphere in Šamorín, Slovakia, at the Challenge Family flagship event.

Pérez Sala: the only Spanish representative

Sara Pérez Sala will be our only representative in this prestigious event, in which she will face almost 70 triathletes from all over the world, including the recently proclaimed long distance triathlon world champions, Clement Mignon y Marjolaine Pierre.

The challenge for all participants will be formidable: 1,9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21,1 km of running.

High-level opponents for Pérez Sala

Pérez Sala will have to compete against a group of elite athletes, including Fenella Langridge (GBR), Rebecca Clarke (NZL), India Lee (GBR), Grace thek (AUS), Lottie Wilms (NED) or Svenja Thoes (GER) among others.

Kick-off for The Championship will be at 8:30am CEST on Sunday, May 21.
