Sara Pérez, Pablo Dapena and Víctor Arroyo confirmed for Challenge Peguera

Less than 10 days before the celebration of the VIII Challenge Peguera Mallorca in Calvià, Mallorca, several professional athletes have confirmed their presence in this classic triathlon for the October 15.

Peguera and its surroundings hope to host more than 1.200 athletes of 25 nationalities that during the three days of competition, from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 October, they will participate in the different races that make up the event.

In fact, in addition to the main test on Saturday October 15, the program of events includes numerous cultural, gastronomic and sports activities.

Moreover, the Registration will remain open until October 9 and they hope to cover the 50 new places that have just been opened in each of the categories.

This flow of people will be very positive for the local economy in Peguera, which offers the possibilities of a top-level tourist destination in Mallorca together with all the necessary services to organize an elite competition such as the Challenge Peguera Mallorca, which this year will also It is part of the Spanish Cup of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon with a renewed and more efficient layout.

A community project

Challenge Peguera Mallorca is an example of institutional collaboration and private initiative.

Organized by the Calvià 2004 Foundation and the Calvià Town Hall in collaboration with the Spanish Triathlon Federation, the event also has the support of the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB) and the Mallorca Tourism Foundation (Consell of Majorca).

Other entities such as the Hotel Association of Paguera and Cala Fornells, Challenge Family and brands such as Powerbar, Red Bull or Abus among others that collaborate in the management of the event also participate, without forgetting the invaluable help of the body of more than 500 volunteers from the municipality.
