The organization TriTour Deltebre, first test of the circuit and that was going to be disputed this weekend, has published a statement explaining what happened.
The new restrictions against Covid-19 that are going to be applied in Catalonia have fully affected them

Triathletes friends,
We are getting in touch with all of you to give you the latest news about the TriTour de Deltebre.
We have been living moments of total uncertainty for a long time, we have already internalized it and we do not realize it until absolutely uncontrollable things happen that return us to reality in a crude way and without contemplation.
We have been working hard to be the first triathlon of the season and to be able to offer you the Deltebre Triathlon that you all know, in fact we are in full assembly of the event when we receive the notification that the regional confinement is reactivated in Catalonia at night from Thursday to Friday.
This new situation, where we cannot guarantee in any case mobility between regions, gives us no choice but to CANCEL THE EVENT.
We are devastated, they have been very hard times for everyone and in our sector, event organizers, we have not been spared.
This is the situation and we can do nothing but deal with it.
We organize events because we like sports, we like the territory and we like to see you happy doing what we also like!
It is difficult for us to find words to encourage you, you triathletes and us as organizers, in the face of this situation, but sport and even more so triathlon has to be a metaphor of life, one test after another and a resistance fight to achieve what we all pursue, to be happy.
All registered have received an email with all the options we offer.
We ask you for a little patience in the processing.
