Sarasota World Cup postponed due to ban on travel from countries affected by the coronavirus

This decision was made as many athletes on the starting list were affected by travel restrictions to the country.

This action has been taken due to travel restrictions recently announced by the US government and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention related to the coronavirus COVID-19 contamination.

That is why the decision has been made to postpone the Sarasota-Bradenton Triathlon and Paratriathlon World Cup, originally scheduled for March 22.

This decision was made as many athletes in the departure list were affected by travel restrictions to the country.

In the future, ITU will work with the US Triathlon. USA premises for explore a suitable date later in the season to potentially organize both events safely and fairly for all athletes.

Cancellation of PATCO events this weekend

Furthermore, in addition to this World Cup announcement, the PATCO Pan American Paratriathlon Championships, the Pan American Sprint Triathlon Cup and the North American Junior Championships scheduled for March 14 have just been canceled.
