Segovia already has a Triathlon Technical Specialization Center

The Mayor of Segovia, Pedro Arahuetes, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Javier Arranz, attended this morning the presentation of the Triathlon Technical Specialization Center (CETT) that took place in the José Carlos Casado indoor pool.

THE CETT has been presented by the President of the Castilla y León Triathlon Federation, Amancio del Castillo, and its Director, Javier García, who thanked the City Council for its great collaboration and the transfer of use of the indoor pool. The CETT began its activity at the beginning of this year 2011 and has twenty scholarship athletes, both in the male and female categories, in cadet, junior, sub-23 and absolute.

The CETT scholarship recipients are advised by a coaching staff made up of four coaches and a coordinator, carrying out joint training sessions in the gym and athletics track, while in the case of swimming it is more individual work that they combine with their work schedules. study and work.

The goal for this season is the Spanish Triathlon Championship to be held in September. For this reason, many of the athletes awarded CETT scholarships are already participating in different tests such as the Spanish Duathlon Championship that was held last weekend.

The Steering Committee is made up of Javier Arranz Romero as Vice President of the Municipal Sports Institute; Amancio del Castillo, President of the Castilla y León Triathlon Federation; Rubén Hernando Ferrero, Technical Director of the Castilla y León Triathlon Federation.

The Technical Committee, by Francisco Ramsés Gil Tordesillas, IMD Sports Coordinator; Javier García Velasco, director of the Segovia CETT; and Rubén Hernando Ferrero, technical director of the Castilla y León Triathlon Federation. Likewise, the director will be Javier García Velasco and the secretary Javier Pinto Sanz.
