Women are the main protagonists of the second day of the Valencia Triathlon.

Almost 500 women and 250 men have contested the Supersprint distance, last outings of the open competition this weekend.

At the 8 in the morning and at the foot of the emblematic building Veles e Vents all participants gathered to take the exit. It was the turn of the most popular competitions and where the majority of participants make their debut in the world of triathlon.

The weather already marked a clear change from the day of the previous day, although the wind was still present, being one of the protagonists of the entire weekend.

In different batches have been taking the exit all women and men who were going to travel 350 meters of swimming, 10 kilometers of cycling and 2,5 kilometers of running. The shortest of all those listed in the national regulations of triathlon has been responsible for closing the open competition.

In the Women's Triathlon the winner was Paula Campos, from the club Tridimonis. The second drawer of the podium has been occupied by the international triathlete Aljeraiwi. The third classified has been Cristina Llinares, from CA Safor Delika Sport. In the Supersprint competition, the winner was the triathlete of the SYS Laboratory Pedro Segrelles. Secondly he has reached the finish line David Baell of the Fattriatlon CN Monjuic. The third place on the podium was for Martín Civera, of the Tridimonis.

A great final for the popular competitions of Valencia Triathlon, which put the closure with a female participation of 33%, a percentage that grows year after year, and of which the organization of the event feels very proud, since one of its main objectives is the promotion of triathlon among women.

This closed the usual modalities of Valencia Triathlon, giving way to Elite Spain Championship, both feminine and masculine.
