A test that continues with its unstoppable growth, reaching in this edition the 3.500 participants. Sevilla is consolidated with this test, second of the Europa FM Circuit, as one of the great references of triathlon not only in our country, but also internationally (an 15,7% of those enrolled are of foreign origin). This generates an economic impact of close to half a million euros.

This Triathlon of Seville will be the beginning of a month in which the city will become a benchmark for this sport, since at the end of May it will be the icing on the cake of the second edition of the Half Triathlon of Seville.

María del Mar Sánchez Estrella, Sports Councilor of the City Council of Seville: "In Seville we do things in style. Here there is not only one triathlon, but also the half. At the beginning of May and at the end, so we are the most important city of this sport in the whole country. This makes us a benchmark nationwide. It is very important that we have events in this category, with a large number of registrants coming from outside. That means that Seville is an attractive city for sports and athletes. An important event for our economy and to make the city known. "

José María Merchán, president of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation: "It is a pride that the Triathlon of Seville is the engine of growth of this sport in Andalusia. We have opted for this event to promote not only a competition but triathlon in general. For this reason, we are proud to continue growing at the level of participation. This city is a benchmark and hopefully shortly we are presenting an international test. We have enough structure to achieve it. "

Pablo Rodríguez, Manager of San Pablo Motor: "As a Sevillian company, we believe in this type of events that represent a challenge and effort, since that is what we do".

Joaquín Rivas, delegate in Andalucía de Nutrisport: "This year is special because of the loss of four colleagues in the accident in the Alps. We will continue supporting this event because it deserves it. I hope that on Sunday the competitors will meet their objectives, we will be there to help them. "

María Pujol, triathlete: "As a Sevillian it is a pleasure to fight every year to remain competitive. The fundamental thing is to promote this sport. Sunday will be a party with a great participation. "

Samer Ali Saad, triathlete: "For me it is a joy that on Sunday we have this great event of the Sevillian sport. Going out every day to train is a challenge. Particularly, I hope the forces accompany me and I can repeat victory. I'm missing 3 triumphs to get to the 10 here, which is my goal. " Samer Ali Saad himself is one of the favorites to win the triumph in the Parque del Alamillo.
