Starlist for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona 2024 published

La Starlist World Championship Official HOMBRE DE HIERRO 2024 in Kona, Hawaii, has been published.
This coming October 26, more than 50 professional triathletes will compete in the tough conditions of Kona to fight for the prestigious world title. The prize pool will be $375.000, of which $125.000 will go to the winner.
World champions lead the list
Among the leading contenders are four IRONMAN World Champions, each of whom already knows what it's like to cross the finish line first in an event of such magnitude. Sam Laidlow, the reigning champion, tops the list after his victory in Nice last year.
Gustav Iden, winner of Kona in 2022 and two-time IRONMAN 70.3 world champion, returns to the ring after overcoming several injuries.
Kristian Blummenfelt, who triumphed at the 2021 World Championships and the IRONMAN European Championship In Frankfurt this year, he will also be present at the starting line. Patrick Lange, two-time Kona champion in 2017 and 2018, will be looking to add a new title to his list of achievements.
A field full of applicants
In addition to the world champions, there is a group of contenders who will be making a lot of noise.

Triathletes such as Leon chevalier, Matt Hanson (current leader of the IRONMAN Professional Series), and the Canadian Lionel Sanders, who has twice finished second in the world championship and is coming off a win in the IRONMAN Canada.
