The circuits
The IRONMAN World Championship circuit in Nice will be one of the most demanding in the history of the competition.
The test will begin with a swimming section in the Mediterranean Sea, on a round trip from the emblematic Promenade des Anglais.
The crystal-clear waters off the coast of Nice, combined with the region's warm climate, will make this start an attractive challenge for the participants.
The cycling route will take the triathletes through some of the most picturesque landscapes of the French Riviera. From the rooftops of the villages of Vence y Gourdon, until the famous descent down the Thorenc's route, the views will be as impressive as the challenge of completing the 180,2 km bike ride.
Finally, the participants will face a walking route that will take them back along the Promenade des Anglais, on a flat four-lap circuit where they will be able to feel the support of the local public and enjoy the views of the sea at all times.
