Next Saturday, September 28, Ibiza will once again become the epicenter of world triathlon with the arrival of the fifth stage of the new T100 Triathlon World Tour.
The race, organized by the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) and World Triathlon, promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year, due to the tight ranking and the presence of some of the best triathletes in the world in the men's category, led by the local favorite, Javier Gómez Noya.

Javier Gómez Noya, one of the most successful triathletes in the history of this sport, will head a luxury startlist that also includes names of the caliber of the Frenchman Sam Laidlow, who recently regained his best form with an impressive victory in London, and the Belgian Marten Van Riel, who won the San Francisco stage in a dramatic finish against Kyle Smith y Rich Bogen.

The tour
The athletes will begin the competition by immersing themselves in the waters of the Mediterranean at Figueretas Beach at 8:00 in the morning, facing a swimming circuit that will set the pace from the first moment.
Next, they must complete three bike laps, which will take them from the heart of Ibiza to the city of Santa Eulalia, through a route that combines technical sections and time trial sections.
Finally, the foot race, made up of seven laps around Ibiza's old town, will offer fast and flat terrain.

With just 25 points separating the top five finishers in the T100 Triathlon World Tour and 35 points up for grabs for the winner in Ibiza, this stage will be crucial in the fight for the first men's T100 world title or even securing a contract for the next. season.
