Olympic duel: Angélica André and Leonie Beck will face each other in the test
Angelica Andre, one of the most outstanding swimmers in Portugal, has confirmed her participation in the Swim Grand Prix of Cascais, an event that has gained international recognition for its impeccable organization and high level of competition.
On September 22, Angelica will face Leonie Beck, another renowned Olympic swimmer, in what promises to be one of the most exciting duels of the competition.
The Swim Grand Prix, considered the most important open water event in Portugal, will bring together more than 700 swimmers from 36 countries this year, including countries such as Spain, Brazil, Germany and the United States.
In its twelfth edition, the event has been nominated worldwide as Event of the Year by the World Open Water Association (WOWSA), ranking seventh among 33 competitors.
This nomination is a testament to the prestige and quality of the SwimGP, which has also been recognized as an Event of Public Interest by the Government of Portugal.
Angelica Andre, who finished in twelfth position in the aquatic marathon at the Paris Olympic Games, will again face Leonie Beck, who finished ninth in the same test.
The difference of just four seconds between the two in Paris adds an extra layer of anticipation to the showdown that will take place in Cascais.
Both swimmers, in addition to their Olympic achievements, have been awarded in open water world championships, which guarantees a high-level duel.

The Cascais Swim Grand Prix offers a series of competitions that challenge both professionals and amateurs.
From the 20 km crossing, which crosses the municipalities of Lisbon and Oeiras, to the 10 km aquatic marathon that begins at Torre Beach in Oeiras and ends at the emblematic Fisherman's Beach in Cascais, the event is designed to offer a complete experience to participants.
