A different triathlon

El Doñana Challenge is a triathlon different from the rest. First, by the odifferent tests than usual, starting with cycling, followed by swimming and running. Second, because the tour is changing, from year to year and within the development of the test itself, due to river currents and tides.

In fact, both the date of the event and the time of departure are conditioned by the coefficients and the tidal hours of the month of September.

But without a doubt, the main characteristic of this event is the privileged environment by which it develops. Run down the virgin beach of the Doñana National Park It is an experience that is not within the reach of other sports events. 30 kilometers of nature, water and sand against the physical and mental resistance of the triathlete is the culmination of the competition.

Sneutralized alida of the test will start at 10.30 am,

The cyclist squad will run for several kilometers until the official start of the race, in which 100 kilometers will be completed, passing through Trebujena, Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María, Rota, Chipiona and Sanlúcar de Barrameda again .

The estimated arrival of the first cyclists and the departure of the swimming segment in the transition zone will be from 13.00:XNUMX p.m.

1 kilometer to swim across the Guadalquivir River to Punta de Malandar.

Once the bicycle section is finished, participants must cross the mouth and swim 1 kilometer and swim across the Guadalquivir River to Punta de Malandar.

The complexity of this test lies in the tides, which can cause some participants to get out of the water away from the transition zone. The estimated arrival of the first swimmers and departure of the race segment at Punta de Malandar is at 13.15.

The foot race runs along the virgin beach of Doñana,

a straight line of 15 kilometers - round trip to complete the 30 kilometers of this segment - with dunes, sand and vegetation on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other.

The runners will start at around 13.15:15.00 and the estimated arrival of the first athletes to Punta de Malandar is around XNUMX:XNUMX, after more than four hours of competition.
