Saleta Castro returns to competition
The popular circuit Deporvillage Tritour 2023 begins this weekend with the exciting test in Deltebre.
In this 2023 edition of the Tritour circuit, there are several novelties, such as the creation of a club league in the distance Half, with cash prizes totaling €12.000.
The first scoring test, Deltebre, will have the participation of the well-known triathlete Saleta Castro, who returns to the competition after eight years of absence.
Swimming circuit in the Ebro river
Deltebre, has a unique swimming segment in the Ebro river, always with the current.
The starts are located upstream in various distances: 750m (sprint), 950m (short), 1.500m (Olympic) and 1.900m (half).
El cyclist segment it is completely flat and fast, it will have a fundamental factor due to the wind that is expected.
To finish the test, the walking segment It takes place along the promenade next to the river, with the Lo Passador bridge as a constant reference and where the finish line of the test will be located.
Deporvillage TriTour Clubs League: requirements and prizes
To qualify for the general classification prizes of the Deporvillage TriTour Clubs League, participants must compete in at least 3 of the 4 circuit events.
In each test, the results of the 3 best female triathletes and the 3 best male triathletes of each club are counted.
In case of participating in two tests different from the first three of the circuit (Deltebre, Amposta and El Pont de Suert), the highest score obtained will be taken into account.
In this way, the clubs can secure a competitive position in the general classification and fight for the prizes at stake.
