Torremolinos will host the 2025 SuperSprint Club Triathlon Nationals

La Spanish Federation of Triathlon (FETRI) has announced important news for the calendar of national competitions of the Season 2025.
Among them, the choice of Torremolinos as the venue for the Spanish SuperSprint Triathlon Club Championships, which will be held on June 7 and 8, stands out.
Torremolinos, SuperSprint Triathlon for Clubs
After recently hosting the Grand Final of the Triathlon World Championship, Torremolinos will once again be the protagonist, this time hosting the central days of the National League of Triathlon Clubs and the Iberdrola League.
The first rounds of the National Club League will be held in Roquetas de Mar on 10 and 11 May, with the King's Cup and the Iberdrola Triathlon Queen's Cup, as well as the Spanish Triathlon Relay Championship.
On the other hand, Banyoles will close the league season on July 12 and 13, hosting the national Club Triathlon and Mixed Relay championships.
A Coruña will host the Spanish Olympic Triathlon Championship
The Spanish Olympic distance Triathlon Championship will be moved to A Coruña, taking place on 31 May and 1 June, following an adjustment to the city's sporting calendar.
The qualifying event for this championship has yet to be defined, information that will be confirmed in the first half of January.
Reinosa is once again the venue for the Winter Triathlon
Good news for triathlon lovers in extreme conditions is the return of the Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship to Reinosa, Cantabria. This historic venue will once again host the competition on February 2, 2025.
News in the National Ranking of Medium and Long Distance
In addition to the changes to the competition venues, the FETRI Delegate Commission also approved adjustments to the National Ranking of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon for 2025.
Scoring will be based on three levels, taking into account technical criteria and contributions from clubs and athletes.
The highest score level, 2.000 points, can be obtained in the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship at the Epic Triathlon in Oropesa and in the Spanish Medium Distance Triathlon Championship in Ibiza.
Various emblematic events on the national calendar will be included in the ranking with scores of 1.500 and 1.000 points.
Among them are the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Valencia, Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca, Challenge Salou, Club LaSanta IRONMAN Lanzarote, IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz, IRONMAN Calella-Barcelona, Challenge Peguera-Mallorca, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, triXilxes, VI Half Gasteiz, KOS Xtreme Triathlon La Palma, Bilbao Triathlon, Castilla y León Challenge, Half Triathlon Madrid and Santander City Triathlon.
Upcoming Confirmations
FETRI has announced that the final dates of the Spanish Swim Run Championship, which will be held in the Canary Islands, and the exact date of the Spanish Middle Distance Triathlon Championship in Ibiza will be confirmed in the first half of January.
