Alejandro Santamaría, Gustavo Rodríguez, Julia Bohn and Kathrin Anna Walther collect the first elite race bibs

Five are the athletes who, due to their state of form and experience in this type of competition, stand out a priori as candidates for the triumph of this first edition of the Triathlon Madrid KM0: Alejandro Santamaría y Diego Paredes, in the elite male category, and the Spanish one Helena Herrero next to the two German representatives Julia Bohn y Kathrin Anna Walther, In elite women.
The first to jump into the water on Sunday at the Riosequillo Reservoir in Buitrago de Lozoya will be the female elite girls (7: 51h), followed by the male elite and the rest of the age groups. At the end of the 3,8 km of swimming they will make the first transition next to the reservoir and will take the bikes to crown the ports of Miraflores, Rascafría, Cotos, Navacerrada, Guadarrama on a long journey through the Sierra Norte de Madrid of 171 km.
Finally, the marathon that begins in the transition of the Esplanade of the King's Bridge will begin with a four-lap tour of Madrid Río that has the finish line in the very heart of the capital, the famous KM0 of the Puerta del Sol .
“KM0 is a project whose objective is to consolidatein the medium-long term among the best tests of his specialty within the national and international calendar ”, according to the words of test directorAlfonso Rodríguez de Sadia.
