The watch brand incorporates to its team one of the Spanish triathletes with the most projection that will compete with a Suunto Spartan Sport

"I am very happy to join Suunto. It is a great brand and reference for many athletes. For me it is basic to have a watch like that, since all my training is based on looking at pulse and rhythm", Explains Godoy

Suunto, bet decisively on triathlon and, after incorporating Fernando Alarza, is now Anna Godoy who joins the family of the Finnish watch brand. This 24-year-old from Barcelona is one of the athletes with the greatest projection in the country and in 2016 she lived one of her best years at the sports level, crowning herself as Spanish Aquathlon and Sprint champion, adding a podium in the European Cup in Melilla participating in various appointments of the World Series. This 2017 has also started well and is that Godoy already has a fourth place in the European Cup held in Quarteira or a tenth position in the World Cup played in Madrid.

"This next weekend I compete in the World Cup of Cagliari and if all goes well in two weeks in the Elite European Championship. The following competitions will depend on the results in these, because this is what the criteria of the Spanish federation mark. Although I have proofs marked in red, like the Olympic Spanish Championship. This year my goals are to make good results in the World Cup and to compete again in the World Triathlon Series, since they are the highest level competitions in our sport", Explains Godoy.

Daughter and sister of two leaders of triathlon in Spain, Paco and Cesc, Anna started out as a swimmer but at the age of 14 she discovered this sporting discipline in which she is already one of the names to follow. In both training and competition, Godoy highlights the ability of his Suunto Spartan Sport to measure your pulse and pace. "PFor me it is basic to have the clock, especially in the training of running and cycling. I also use it when I swim in open water, because then I can analyze data. All my training is based on looking, pulse and rhythm. And therefore the functions of this watch are perfect for my day to day", Analyzes the Suunto athlete.

The possibilities offered by the watch and the Movescount platform have allowed him to coordinate perfectly with his coach, Álvaro Rancé: "It is a fundamental tool in my training and my performance. Each week I go up the training so that he can see and analyze them. Because my coach is not with me every day, this way I can see how I have performed in each training", Says Godoy.

At her 24 years, this Barcelonan woman admits that she not only uses the watch when she practices triathlon, but that in her day to day, she also wears it on the wrist. "Not only does it give you the function of being a technical watch for training, but you can also use it for daily life. For example with the function of being able to change the screen, and to set the time with the classic clock hands".

Anna Godoy joins the family Suunto and makes the Finnish brand's commitment to triathlon even more visible. With the Barcelona woman and with Fernando Alarza, Suunto already has a couple of level triathletes that it will accompany in the fight for their goals. At the forefront of innovation, Suunto has been handcrafting sports watches like the Suunto Spartan Sport for more than 80 years that both wear.
